Inside Easton Corbin, Martina McBride’s Holiday Charities: Ram Report
Today is Giving Tuesday and the country music community has already started giving back. With Christmas on the horizon, country stars are mobilizing their charitable campaigns.
Easton Corbin recently headed south to his home state of Florida to surprise firefighters at a local fire station in the town of Sunrise. The “Let’s Ride” singer thanked the first responders and also set them up with a hot meal. Corbin’s charitable work is in unison with the Ram Gives Thanks campaign.
Martina McBride has been giving back throughout her entire fall tour. Her Team Music Is Love charity donated food for 400 people before a concert in Iowa, with McBride also working the food line. In addition, she and her organization donated more than 300 meals while on tour in Missouri.
Finally, in Nashville, Tracy Lawrence kept up an annual tradition: his Mission Possible Turkey Fry, which feeds deep-fried turkeys to Music City’s homeless population. This is the 11th year that the “Time Marches On” singer has held his charitable event, which so far has fried nearly five thousand birds. As Lawrence sang in one of his more recent hits, in tough times, you find out who your friends are.
