After teasing a collaboration with boy-band hall of famers The Backstreet Boys all summer, Florida Georgia Line is finally giving the first listen of “God, Your Mama, and Me,” part of the duo’s upcoming Dig Your Roots album (out August 26th).

A loving recreation of a Y2K-era Pop-Up Video ballad (you can almost hear the JNCOs rustling), the song follows in the thematic footsteps of FGL’s previous single, “H.O.L.Y.,” declaring unwavering devotion for their wives with religious undertones, but then adds a clean, epic beat, classically processed BSB harmonies and a steel guitar to birth a sound best described as backroad pop.

Before you go saying “Tell me whyyy?,” the FGL boys have already explained that Backstreet was a big part of their musical upbringing, and at times they even feel like country music’s Backstreet Boys equivalent. Without unpacking that statement, the duo’s Tyler Hubbard does sound right at home singing lead on the track, even when BSB O.G. Nick Carter steps in for the second verse.

Check out the poppiest of the country pop crossovers to date below. FGL’s current single is “May We All” (featuring Tim McGraw), and they’re on the road with the Dig Your Roots Tour featuring Kane Brown, The Cadillac Three and Cole Swindell.
