Florida Georgia Line Tapped to Host American Country Countdown Awards

Florida Georgia Line, the duo of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, have been tapped to host the first-ever American Country Countdown Awards telecast, airing live on FOX, Monday, December 15th, at 8:00 p.m. ET from Nashville’s Music City Center.
Although the show is based on radio’s long-running “American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks,” there’s no word why Brooks isn’t hosting the two-hour event. Performers and presenters for the show have yet to be revealed but one aspect that has been announced is the unveiling of the first-ever “NASH Icon” award winner.
The American Country Countdown Awards, presented by Dick Clark Productions, Cumulus Media and FOX-TV, replaces the now-defunct American Country Awards, which originated in Las Vegas from 2010 – 2013. The show takes place one month after the CMA Awards telecast, which airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 5th.
Florida Georgia Line won four American Country Awards in 2013, including New Artist of the Year.
