Dierks Bentley Exhibit to Open at Country Music Hall of Fame

Debuting in March, ‘Every Mile a Memory’ will trace the singer’s career from the bars to the arenas

Dierks Bentley is the latest contemporary country artist to join the legends at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The “Riser” singer will be the focus of his own exhibit, “Dierks Bentley: Every Mile a Memory,” opening March 4th.

Bentley himself will help open the showcase with an intimate Q&A and acoustic performance at the museum’s CMA Theater on March 12th. Among the items on display: guitars, lyrics and stage clothes — which, considering the humble everyguy nature of Bentley, will likely include a lot of jeans and T-shirts.

Raised in Phoenix, and sent off to boarding school in New Jersey, before returning to Arizona and driving to Nashville with his late father in the 1994 pickup he calls “Big White,” Bentley lived the quintessential country-drifter life. “Every Mile a Memory,” named after his 2006 Number One single, traces those miles, from his early days playing for tips in honky-tonks to his current arena tours.

Bentley, whose latest single is the off-the-rails journey “Somewhere on a Beach,” will release his eighth studio album Black later this year. His 2014 LP Riser received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. Bentley joins Eric Church, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan as other modern-day stars who have received their own Country Music Hall of Fame exhibits.
