Country superstar Dierks Bentley takes a swipe at the winter blues with the announcement of his 2015 Sounds of Summer Tour. The 40-city trek, which kicks off in Raleigh, North Carolina, on June 5th, will also include Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and Canaan Smith. See a list of announced stops on the tour below.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the first cities on the Sounds of Summer Tour beginning Monday, January 26th at Live Nation’s Country Megaticket site. Additional ticket information for each market will be available in the coming weeks at www.dierks.com.
To “break the ice” with his upcoming tour mates, Bentley invited them to join him for his Polar Plunge, the singer’s traditional dip which usually happens the first week of the new year from the shore of Nashville’s Percy Priest Lake. This time, he took his fellow plungers out into the middle of the lake, and they all jumped in from the side of a boat. (Watch video from the tourmates’ Polar Plunge above.)
“Kip, Maddie & Tae and Canaan are three of the hottest rising artists out there right now, and I feel fortunate to be spending the summer with them,” says Bentley. “If our first ‘tour meeting’ is any indication, they are up for anything, which is awesome. No one is going to have more fun this summer than us!”
The Sounds of Summer Tour, which takes its name from a track on the singer’s latest album, follows up last year’s Riser Tour, which also got its name from that Grammy-nominated project.
