Darius Rucker Fronts All-Star Show for St. Jude: The Ram Report
For the seventh straight year, Darius Rucker will provide the unofficial kickoff to CMA Music Fest with a star-studded show at downtown Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon.
Billed Darius Rucker and Friends, the June 6th event will feature performances by Charley Pride, Hunter Hayes, Drake White, Terri Clark, Locash and Scotty McCreery. Rucker will be on and offstage all night, as he joins guests for singalongs and performs his own set.
The sold-out show benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a place the host has championed for several years. His annual show has raised more than $700,000 for the Memphis facility, which provides free care for kids with cancer, along with research, prevention efforts and many other services. Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has developed treatments that have helped boost the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.
Rucker will follow his benefit show with two Grand Ole Opry performances on June 7th.
