Chris Stapleton, Tim McGraw Join ACM Awards Performance Lineup

As previously predicted, Chris Stapleton will be performing during the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards on April 3rd, where is nominated in several key categories. Additionally, superstars Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett and Luke Bryan (who is co-hosting the event) will perform on the show, which airs live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3rd, at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
Though not a nominee, Tim McGraw will grace the ACM Awards stage to give the national television debut of his new single “Humble and Kind,” which appears on his 2015 album Damn Country Music. Details about Stapleton’s performance haven’t been specified, but anticipation will be running high to see if he has a trick up his sleeve to rival his epic CMA Awards appearance with Justin Timberlake.
Stapleton’s seven nominations (including two recent ones in the Song of the Year category for “Nobody to Blame”) makes him the most-nominated artist overall, while Thomas Rhett has three of his own, including Album of the Year (for Tangled Up) and Male Vocalist of the Year. Aldean and Bryan each have two nominations, including Entertainer of the Year.
These artists join previously announced performers Kelsea Ballerini, co-host Dierks Bentley, Cam, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
