Chris Stapleton Plots Free Homecoming Show

Chris Stapleton has come a long way from playing high school gymnasiums, but that’s exactly what he’ll do on March 24th.
The double Grammy and three-time CMA Award winner will return to Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Kentucky, where he was the Class of 1996 valedictorian, for a free show next week. Sponsored by Ram Trucks, the event is billed ‘Hometown Heroes.’ All tickets are free and were snatched up in less than three hours.
Ram’s cameras will follow the country star around his hometown in the hours leading up to the concert, for a special video you’ll be able to see right here on Rolling Stone Country.
Stapleton’s spring and summer will be a balancing act of headlining dates and a joint tour with Hank Williams Jr. He’ll play the ACM Awards next month, along with the ACM Party for a Cause, and is already set to anchor one of the CMA Music Festival’s big LP Field shows.
