The 2017 CMA Music Festival in Nashville has officially wrapped – and it was another one for the books. To celebrate the four-day event, Cracker Barrel presented a $15,000 check to the CMA Foundation for Rock-A-Thon – the weekend-long rocking chair challenge which asked fans to rock in one of the 644 rocking chairs (a symbol of the chain’s nationwide store count) at the festival to raise money for the foundation.
In addition to three nights of performances at the Cracker Barrel Country Roads stage, the brand also powered special onstage moments, including: an appearance by Kelsea Ballerini for her “Legends” of Country Karaoke Contest; a warm welcome for the 101st Airborne Division and its Screaming Eagles, which led the audience in the National Anthem Friday night; and a mortgage-free home giveaway to a veteran family thanks to Cracker Barrel’s flagship nonprofit, Operation Homefront.
Cracker Barrel also gave fans amazing experiences throughout CMA weekend. Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town gave out prizes to unsuspecting fans from her Cracker Barrel Oh Gussie! line throughout the festival. Country singers Lauren Alaina, Dan + Shay, Granger Smith and Hunter Hayes surprised festival-goers as co-passengers in their Lyft rides powered by Cracker Barrel. On Sunday, the brand hosted special onstage giveaways at Nissan Stadium, including a rocking chair, Crosley player, vinyls, an autographed guitar, $100 Cracker Barrel cards and CDs. If you didn’t make it to Nashville this time, start planning for next year!
