Carrie Underwood Will Star in ‘Sound of Music’ Live Broadcast

Carrie Underwood will take center stage as Maria von Trapp in a live NBC broadcast of The Sound of Music, USA Today reports. The show is schedule for the 2013 holiday season. NBC tapped Smash producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron for the broadcast.
