Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney and Lady Antebellum are among the first set of performers announced for the 2015 CMT Music Awards. All of the artists set to take the stage have multiple nominations, with Underwood leading the pack. The “Something in the Water” singer has five nods in three categories — meaning she’ll battle herself for two awards. She will be performing on live television for the first time since giving birth to a son, Isaiah Michael Fisher, on February 27th.
Other artists with multiple nominations include Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack, RaeLynn, Maddie and Tae, Dierks Bentley and Sam Hunt. All categories are fan-voted, with the online ballot found here. Voting runs through June 7th at 11:59 p.m. ET. The final nominees in the Video of the Year category — the night’s top honor — will be announced at the top of the live show. The last round of voting for that award will then be open only during the broadcast. Up now for Video of the Year are Underwood, Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Aldean, Chesney, Lady A, Lee Brice, Darius Rucker, Bryan, Maddie and Tae, Hunt and Lambert with Underwood. Additional performers for the 2015 CMT Awards will be announced in the coming weeks, with the live show set for June 10th at 8:00 p.m. ET at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The show is the unofficial kickoff to the giant CMA Music Festival, which begins the next day in Nashville. More than 80,000 fans are expected to pack the streets of downtown Music City for the annual event, to see literally hundreds of their favorite country artists.
