Brett Eldredge on ‘Soulful’ Tour With Keith Urban: The Ram Report
About five years ago, Brett Eldredge turned on the radio to hear one of his heroes, Keith Urban talking about him.
“He was like, ‘I love this song, ‘Raymond,'” Eldredge recalls of the Urban radio interview, during which the Aussie superstar praised the then-newcomer’s debut single. “And I was like, ‘Keith Urban knows who I am?!'”
It was a few years later that Urban invited Eldredge to join his Raise ‘Em Up tour. And this summer, the two will reunite on the Ripcord World tour. The “Drunk on Your Love” singer, who turns 30 today (March 23rd), says his two-time road boss is “a class act.”
“We both have high energy shows, but I don’t go up there and shred guitar like he does. . . I do all this crazy, different stuff than he does, so it’s cool to see it all come together in one show. I think we complement each other. And Maren Morris is also on [this tour], and she’s such an amazing singer. I think it’ll be a soulful experience.”
The Ripcord World tour kicks of June 2nd in Kansas City, Missouri.
