Blake Shelton Recruits Oak Ridge Boys for New Album: Ram Report
Blake Shelton is putting the finishing touches on his latest album, the follow-up to 2014’s Bringing Back the Sunshine. And according to a series of recent Tweets, he’s enlisted one of country music’s most famous groups to help him: the Oak Ridge Boys.
The Country Music Hall of Fame inductees joined Shelton in the studio earlier this month for a recording session. “Tonight was literally magic,” wrote Shelton, sharing a photo of himself with the group. “What an honor. So excited about my album!” The “Gonna” singer also tweeted that he’s finished tracking the still-untitled project.
The Oaks’ Joe Bonsall shared his own batch of photos, including one of Shelton and the band working out vocal arrangements.
Shelton will launch a winter tour with opening act Chris Janson on February 18th in Cincinnati, and play a two-night stand at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. He’ll also headline the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on April 17th.
