Blake Shelton Goes Green: The Ram Report
Blake Shelton has once again proved he can moonlight as a comedian — this time via his inaugural hosting duties at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
The country music superstar ventured into self deprecating humor with a “Throwback Thursday” photo of himself in high school, sporting glasses and a mullet. But the kids seemed to laugh the hardest when he came out in a full unicorn costume. And, in what has been a Nickelodeon tradition for decades, Shelton was doused with a huge bucket of green slime as the show came to a close.
As this was the country singer’s first time hosting the Kids’ Choice Awards, 2016 marks the first time in six years he won’t be co-hosting the ACM Awards. Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will share emcee duties on the live broadcast next month in Las Vegas.
Shelton remains in his second home of Los Angeles this month, where he’s filming The Voice. But he’ll no doubt hit the road soon in support of If I’m Honest, his new album due in May. Its first single, the redemptive “Came Here to Forget” is the most-added tune at country radio this week.
