Brandy Clark

Perplexingly early set time aside (10:00 a.m., really?), Brandy Clark's slot on one of the festival's free stages — the same day her album Big Day in a Small Town comes out — is sure to be a big draw. Since the release of her breakthrough 12 Stories, Clark has learned to adapt herself to stages big and small, telling her stories as quiet conversations or directing them at the back of the arena in her big, bell-clear voice. It's hard to know which Clark will show up for CMA Fest, but it hardly matters when she comes armed with another album's worth of incredible storytelling. Friday, Chevrolet Riverfront Stage
