Graham Parker was nearing 30 years old in 1979, when he released Squeezing Out Sparks, a furious blast of new wave energy, and as such wasn't quite able to adopt the era-defining Angry Young Man stance of the likes of fellow Brits Elvis Costello and the Clash.
