The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight are still at odds in the latest glimpse at the 2016 blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the brief clip that aired during the midseason finale of the Batman-centric Fox series Gotham, Batman is shown captive and under guard in a subterranean cell, his arms restrained above his head. Superman suddenly appears and walks slowly down a long hallway lined with armed guards toward Batman. However, instead of freeing his fellow superhero, Superman tears Batman's mask off, exposing Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne.
The dialogue-free minute-long peek is the first new footage from the film since the explosive Batman v Superman trailer that premiered this summer. Since then, the DC Cinematic Universe has also offered up a first look at Suicide Squad, the villain-heavy action film that will follow Dawn of Justice to multiplexes in 2016.
The next Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer will premiere during the December 2nd episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The film hits theaters March 25th.
