Yoko Ono, Flaming Lips Deliver Message on ‘Letterman’

Wayne Coyne and Co. help out on ‘Cheshire Cat Cry’

Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band teamed with the Flaming Lips to deliver a message last night on the Late Show With David Letterman. Performing "Cheshire Cat Cry" off album Take Me to the Land of Hell, Ono couldn't have been more direct:  "Stop the violence," she commanded. "Stop all wars."

The singer alternated between repeating the message and a maniacal giggle-like chant throughout the performance while holding up a peace sign as her band and members of the Lips rocked out together behind her – including Wayne Coyne, who was seated near her with a megaphone and shaker, shrouded in a hood before removing the disguise midway through the song.
