Stone Temple Pilots rocked The Tonight Show last night with Chester Bennington. The rockers played the up-tempo “Black Heart” from their upcoming High Rise EP. Bennington showcased his skills as the band’s new singer, rolling along with the powerful main riff that dominates the song. Bennington, of Linkin Park, replaced founding singer Scott Weiland earlier this year.
“It was a very difficult decision to terminate the face of your band,” Robert DeLeo recently told Rolling Stone. “There are many paths to the history of certain bands and each one is a little different, but it all kind of turns out the same at the end. But it was a very difficult decision to do that.”
High Rise is due out October 8th.
