Sigur Ros have already booked a cameo for Game of Thronesupcoming fourth season, but that brush with the HBO fantasy epic wasn’t enough for the Icelandic art-rockers. According to Film Music Reporter, the band has recorded a cover version of “The Rains of Castamere,” the song written by series creator George R.R. Martin that soundtracked the jaw-dropping Red Wedding episode (which Rolling Stone ranked as the best TV moment of 2013).

Like the National (who also recorded a version of “Castamere”), Sigur Ros’ Thrones love runs deep: The trio even posed with Martin for an adorable gang photo posted on their Instagram. (One can only hope the author joins the band, replacing recently departed multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson.)

Game of Thrones will kick off its fourth season on April 6th with an episode titled “Two Swords.” As fans have gathered from the season’s various trailers, these new episodes will feature plenty of sword-fighting, betrayal and CGI dragons. Heavy stuff, but that didn’t stop filmmaker Garrison Dean from reimagining the series as a laugh-track-driven Seventies sitcom

In the meantime, study up for the premiere with Rolling Stone‘s Season Four cheat sheet.
