‘Portlandia’ Renewed for Two More Seasons

Portlandia has been renewed for two more seasons, meaning Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein's satiric vision of Oregon's largest city will remain on IFC through 2015. The fourth and fifth seasons of the Emmy-nominated comedy series will each comprise 10 half-hour episodes.

"Portlandia has celebrated sustainable local agriculture, underemployment, avian crafting, gender politics, intense bicycle messengers and so much more," said Jennifer Caserta, president and general manager of IFC.  "We can now celebrate two more seasons."

Previous seasons of the show, created and written by Armisen and Brownstein, have featured guest spots from Chloe SevignyRoseanne Barr, Patton Oswalt and Jeff Goldblum, along with musicians including Jack White, Aimee Mann, Sarah McLachlan, Dinosaur Jr.'s J. Mascis, Johnny Marr and the Decemberists' Colin Meloy.
