Michael J. Fox Talks About Return to TV on ‘Letterman’

‘As long as I play a guy who has Parkinson’s, I can do anything’

Michael J. Fox sat down last night on the Late Show With David Letterman to talk about his full-time return to TV after shorter stints on shows like The Good Wife and Curb Your Enthusiasm. "I wasn't doing a lot of work, and I just thought, 'As long as I play a guy who has Parkinson's, I can do anything,'" the actor joked.

Michael J. Fox Comedy Gets Green Light From NBC

The still untitled NBC sitcom tells the story of a New York City anchorman who leaves his job to spend more time with his family after being diagnosed with Parkinson's; but after five years at home, he starts itching to get back to work. The show itself will contain material pulled directly from Fox's family life, which the actor asked permission of his kids to share. When they agreed, he quipped, "I said, 'Well that's good because I paid for it anyway!' I own the material, I have the intellectual property rights."
