Rolling Stone recently accompanied the British dance pop singer Katy B on a trip to Other Music, one of the most beloved and renowned record stores in New York City. As she flipped through the shop's bins, the singer explained that she typically finds out about new music from her musician friends, and she gushed about her love for R&B stars Janelle Monaé and Jill Scott. "She writes about such simple things, but so beautifully," B says of Scott. "I like the way she writes about love, because you can kinda relate to it."
