Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim storms into theaters this weekend, but the Mexican director is already looking at his next projects, including the horror flick Crimson Peak and its lead man, Benedict Cumberbatch.

Though Peak won’t be released until 2015, it seems their partnership has clicked – according to The Daily Telegraph (via Indiewire), del Toro is eyeing another film with the Star Trek Into Darkness star, saying he’s “hoping to direct Cumberbatch again in a new film version of Frankenstein.”

Cumberbatch has himself played both Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his creation in stage versions, and Del Toro’s Frankenstein project has surfaced before; Indiewire notes the Pan’s Labyrinth director was test shooting with Hellboy‘s Doug Jones as the monster in 2009.

Del Toro’s Frankenstein isn’t the only one in the works: Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy and Aden Young will star in I, Frankenstein next January, and Daniel Radcliffe has signed onto an untitled Frankenstein project, too.
