Yacht parties, sex tapes, bouts with UFC champion Ronda Rousey, a never-ending parade of celebrity cameos: It’s all there in the official trailer for the long-awaited Entourage movie. While a teaser clip from December gave fans a glimpse into the continued Hollywood goofiness of film star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his bumbling crew, the trailer fills in more details about the plot, which involves agent-turned-studio-head Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) offering the lead in his first film to Vincent. The only problem? The actor also wants to direct.
Problems arise when Vince quickly blows through his $100 million budget. “If this movie tanks, Vince will not come back from this,” Ari says. Meanwhile, the actor-director’s longtime crew of misfits – Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) and E (Kevin Connolly) – only aid in turning the project into a disaster.
The trailer ends with a tease of A-list cameos, including Pharrell Williams, T.I., Mark Wahlberg, Tom Brady, Jessica Alba, Liam Neeson, David Spade, Kelsey Grammar and Andrew Dice Clay. The main cast also features Billy Bob Thornton and Haley Joel Osment, along with several actors from the original HBO series, including Perrey Reeves (as Ari’s wife, Melissa), Emmanuelle Chriqui (as Sloan), Rhys Coiro (Billy Walsh) and Debi Mazar (Vince’s publicist, Shauna).
Rumors of an Entourage film began circulating after the show finished its eight-season run in 2011. The project got the green light from Warner Bros. in January 2013, but negotiations weren’t finalized until October. Series creator Doug Ellin wrote and directed the film, which hits theaters on June 5th.
