Cheap Trick revisited their classic treatise on the generation gap last night when they performed "Surrender" on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Guitarist Rick Nielsen executed leg kicks and mugged for the crowd, and he and bassist Tom Petersson helped singer Robin Zander belt the infectious sing-along chorus in full voice. Surrender, indeed, unconditionally.
