Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones tied for top honors in the Critics Choice Television Awards: the AMC show and HBO saga were both named Best Drama Series when the third-annual awards were announced last night on UStream. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston also won, taking home Best Actor in a Drama Series, while Tatiana Maslany won Best Actress for her work in BBC America’s Orphan Black.
Behind the Candelabra won Best Movie/Miniseries for HBO, and Best Actor in a Movie/Miniseries for star Michael Douglas, while FX received four wins, including acting awards for Zachary Quinto and Sarah Paulson of American Horror Story: Asylum.
Other awards included The Daily Show With Jon Stewart for Best Talk Show and The Big Bang Theory for Best Comedy. Breaking Bad will resume its final run on August 11th while Game of Thrones just wrapped up its third season.
