5. 'Toy Story 3'
More than a few people groaned when they learned that Pixar was planning a third chapter in the Toy Story saga. The first two movies were amazing, but this seemed more like a cash grab than a project of artistic merit. Nobody said anything like that after seeing the movie, which shows that toys moving to a day-care center as Andy, who neglected them years ago, prepares to go to college. Near the end they face their own oblivion as they nearly enter a garbage incinerator. It's hard to watch it without crying. It ends with them winding up in the home of a little girl, and it felt like a very natural end to the story. Let's all hope that Toy Story 4 doesn't disappoint, though it'll be very hard to measure up to the first three films.
