A brand new Netflix original production mixes the heady delights of video game development, Workaholics and crime. Game Over Man! is due out next year and stars Adam Devine, Anders Holm and Blake Anderson.
"Three childhood friends grew up with the dream of becoming videogame creators, only to land as low-level maids in a downtown LA hotel," says Netflix. "When a flamboyant billionaire celebrity partying at their hotel unexpectedly offers to finance their game… before they can bust out the champagne, the hotel is taken over by terrorists and the billionaire is held hostage. It’s up to the dipshits to rescue their bankroller and make their life-changing dreams come true."
Scott Rudin, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg are producing. Rudin is also a producer on shows like The Newsroom and Silicon Valley, to name just a tiny fraction of his credits. Rogen is of course known for his acting but he and Goldberg are also currently at work on an adaptation of Blake J. Harris’s book Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation.
Game Over, Man! will arrive on Netflix on April 20, 2018.
