Fresh from playing the role of Tennessee in the new Alien: Covenant, Danny McBride is now the face of Microsoft's subscription service the Xbox Game Pass. It will launch on June 1.
For $9.99 a month subscribers are promised unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games. Xbox Live Gold members can try it from today, for free, for 14 days. You can check out the full list here, but standout titles are Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16, and LEGO Batman. There's also old school stuff like Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, The Golf Club, Terraria, Resident Evil 0, XCOM: Enemy Within, Mad Max and Knight Squad. Subscribers will also get perks like discounts to make them feel better about that $10 price tag.
Rival PlayStation has PlayStation Plus, also $10 a month, which offers a different selection of free games that players get to keep as long as they keep subscribing. It also has PS Now, a different service that lets members stream PS3 games to PS4 and Windows PC. That $19.99 a month.
