'Stardew Valley' Multiplayer Coming in 2018

Stardew Valley's multiplayer mode will let you hire and marry your friends – but not until early 2018. Developer Chucklefish released details about the farming sim's upcoming multiplayer update in a blog post today. Players will be able to build up to three cabins on their farms and invite their friends to live in them and become "farmhands." Farmhands can do almost anything the main player can do, including farm, mine, fight, fish and marry NPCs. Players can even marry each other, a feature many Stardew Valley fans have asked for. Chucklefish is planning a beta test for Steam users later this year. Local multiplayer, split-screen and player vs. player are not planned at this time.
