This is not a drill people, there are now Red Dead Redemption 2 screenshots in the wild. Sadly they come with bad news from Rockstar, the wild west sequel has officially been delayed until Spring 2018. "This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans," says Rockstar. "We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready."The delay is devastating for those counting down the days until the original Fall release, but the new screenshots promise plenty to hang on for. Check them out for yourself below and feel free to scour them for clues. For instance, notice the rings on the hand in our main shot – is that a B? – Could that be the ring of Bill Williamson, former soldier and John Marston's ex-partner in Red Dead Redemption, thus confirming fan theories about a prequel? Only Rockstar knows for now.
