'PUBG' Will Get Fewer, Better Patches From Now On
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is arguably the biggest game of the year – and it's not even officially out yet. Since the game's launch on Steam Early Access, developer Bluehole has released 14 patches during its weekly and monthly scheduled updates. But, the studio says rushing certain features, and having shorter QA testing times, led to more issues. From now on, it says it will focus on higher quality updates. "Today we are changing our patch and update schedule to improve how we work on the game, as well as set realistic expectations for players," the team writes on Steam. "Until the official release of the game, we will not have our scheduled weekly or monthly patches rolling out as often as before."
