5. PlayStation Move Ape Escape
In 1999, the original Ape Escape was the first game to make a DualShock controller mandatory. It was fun enough that nobody minded, and it helped give birth to the two-stick era. If you have a mental image of a pregnant monkey squeezing out a PlayStation controller now, I apologize. The 2011 version of Ape Escape required the PlayStation Move motion controls, and did not have nearly the same effect. It was a primitive on-rails shooter in which the Move controllers were a slingshot. How the mighty have fallen.
