Microsoft Poland May Have Leaked Xbox One Keyboard and Mouse Support

'PUBG' players, rejoice!

Xbox One might be getting keyboard and mouse support, if a recent accidental leak from Microsoft Poland (via VG247) is to be believed.

The information apparently came from Microsoft Poland's press blog – often used to give press releases to the press. Looking at the post, which has since been deleted, it looks as if the support is relatively far into development. Rather than saying Microsoft is working on the support functionality, the post seems to be prepared for the actual launch of it. Check out a screen grab of the post (via GamerPros) below:

The use of keyboard and mouse on consoles is a kind of controversial topic, as the more fluid movement can give players a leg up over those using a controller. It remains to be seen, if this leak is real, whether or not Microsoft will prohibit or allow the peripherals to be used in multiplayer games.

It's worth noting, the "Better Together" update in Minecraft for the Xbox One already added keyboard and mouse support.

We've reached out to Microsoft to ask about the legitimacy of this news, and whether or not it plans to implement rules regarding keyboard and mouse use in multiplayer games. We'll update the story should we hear back.

Update: A representative of Microsoft replied to Glixel, saying, "No new announcements have been made regarding keyboard and mouse support on Xbox One. The post you referenced has been pulled down as it was created using incorrect information."
