Pokemon Go Fest was a Rayquaza-sized Disaster. Here’s how to get a Ticket Refund
We already wrote about the massive server issues, intense heat and general unpleasantry that was the first, and probably last, Pokémon Go Fest. It was so bad that the game's developer, Niantic, said they were "horrified," in a statement given to Polygon. Luckily, the company is making good on their promise to refund ticket holders. If you were one of the unlucky thousands that wasted money and time at Chicago's Grant Park, check your email. You should have gotten a link to a form that needs to be filled out. Do it by August 27th, however. That's when the window closes.
Also, the developer is giving attendees $100 in Pokécoins and the Legendary Pokémon Lugia. They say these apology gifts will appear in accounts automatically and will require no action on the part of players. You are on your own with the airfare, hotel room, food and other expenses, though. Pika?
