Los Angeles hip hop artist Kid Ink has recorded a new track, 'Now It's Personal,' inspired by the classic fighting series Tekken.

"The goal and the thought process of putting together the record is really thinking of it as an intro song," says Kid Ink. "When the game comes on or the wrestler walks out, the fighter walks out, this is what you hear. The lyrics, this is what they're telling you."

Kid Ink says he grew up playing the game and tried to master every character. "I didn't have a lot of brothers and sisters when I was younger so I was playing with my mom, for the the most part. She actually brings that up often, 'remember when I use to beat you in Tekken?'"

He released the EP 7 Series on May 5 and his last studio album was Full Speed, which featured Usher, Tinashe, Chris Brown and R. Kelly.

Tekken 7 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2.
