Far Cry's season pass will let players travel to Vietnam, Mars and back in time to Far Cry 3, Ubisoft revealed today.
The pass, available as a standalone purchase or through the game's "Gold Edition," will give players access to the following three additions:
- Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers
- Dead Living Zombies: Players will face hordes of zombies across multiple b-movie scenarios
- Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with Martian arachnids
Ubisoft didn't elaborate much on any of the added content, including how much the season pass would cost, but did reveal it plans to share more information in the near future before the game's launch.
Additionally, the console version Far Cry 5's season pass will give players access to Far Cry 3's single player campaign in the form of Far Cry 3 Classic Edition. The re-released content will be available for everyone in summer 2018 as standalone purchase, but will come to season pass holders four weeks early. Players who purchase the the season pass on PC will have access to the entirety of Far Cry 3, not just the single player content.
Far Cry 3 was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC back in 2012. It was largely a critical hit, noted for its emergent gameplay.
Far Cry 5, the first game in the series to take place in the United States, is set to be released on March 27th.
