Microsoft Accused of Copying Fan's 'PUBG' Artwork

Microsoft has removed an advertisement for the Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds after a fan claimed the company copied his work, IGN reports. Reddit user Macsterr shared his concept art on the social media site two months ago, where it was quickly upvoted. Microsoft then allegedly posted a very similar advertisement for the game last month.

When Macsterr complained on Reddit, Xbox Live's director of programming, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb noticed. "Hey guys, I wanted to let you know that this is being investigated," he replied on Reddit. "In the meantime, our official channels have pulled down the asset in question. I'll follow up with the OP /u/macsterr/ once I get more details."

Neither Macsterr nor Microsoft have commented since.
