'Star Citizen' Patch 3.0 Arrives
Star Citizen's 3.0 Alpha Patch is out, and it brings substantial new features to the upcoming massively multiplayer game. It adds three new Crusader moons called Cellin, Daymar, and Yela. There's also a new mission system and improved shopping and cargo mechanics. Plus, developer Roberts Space Industries is increasing the server player count from 24 to 50.
"In short, it’s a big update that lays the foundation for larger developments down the road," the developer says.
Now that the 3.0 update is out, RSI says the Persistent Universe is now shifting to a quarter-based release schedule. "This approach means that after each live delivery we can return to the main development branch and pick up all the changes and optimizations that have been worked on in the background and ready them for our next live release," it says.
