Tencent is Bringing a Mobile Version of 'PUBG' to China

Massively popular online battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is coming to smartphones – in China. Sorry, Westerners! Publisher Tencent announced it's teaming up with PUBG developer Bluehole to jointly produce the mobile version of the game. The two companies say it will have the same gameplay as the original PC version, but some elements will be optimized for smartphones. It will also be made "in accordance with socialist core values and traditional Chinese cultures and moral norms," Tencent said in a statement last week when it first announced its Bluehole partnership.
