Swery is Committed to 'The Good Life,' Even if it Isn't Funded
Deadly Premonition and D4 creator Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro's new project, The Good Life, is a murder mystery set in a charming village where all the residents turn into cats (or dogs) at night. It's currently falling far short of its $1.5 million crowdfunding goal on Fig, but Swery tells Polygon he's not giving up on the game. "Everybody loves cats, right?" he says. "And I want to make people happy. So I'm not going to let go of that."
The Good Life's Fig campaign ends on October 12th. Swery admits his new studio, White Owls, doesn't have a contingency plan for if it fails. Swery's projects are always interesting. It will be a shame if this one doesn't pan out.
