Speedrunner Sets First World Record … On The N-Gage?
Nokia's N-Gage was a handheld gaming system that could also make phone calls. It was supposed to be a competitor for Nintendo's Gameboy Advance when it launched in 2003. It commercially flopped instead. Now, 14 years later, a Twitch streamer named ZEN_Ivan has completed the first speedrun world record on the taco-shaped device, Polygon reports.
The world record in question is for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. ZEN_Ivan beat the game in 26 minutes and 20.8 seconds. You can watch the run in the video. The N-Gage is a punchline in the annals of gaming history, but maybe it will find new life in the speedrunning community.
