Ninja Theory is Donating Today's 'Hellblade' Proceeds to Charity
Today is World Mental Health Day. To mark the occasion, developer Ninja Theory is donating all proceeds from today's sales of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice to a U.K. charity called Rethink Mental Illness. This includes sales on both PlayStation 4 and PC. The money Ninja Theory donates will be whatever it receives after sales tax and platform fees are deducted.
"Rethink Mental Illness exists to support and campaign for those severely affected by mental illness," Ninja Theory writes on its website. "They help millions of people affected by mental illness by challenging attitudes and changing lives. We are delighted to be supporting this important work with this donation."
Hellblade is a psychological horror game about a Norse woman who suffers from mental illness. Many fans have messaged Ninja Theory since the game's launch to talk about their own struggles. The studio highlights some of them, along with screens taken with the game's photo mode, in a new trailer.
