Florida Mayhem Has Moment of Silence For Parkland Victims

When Overwatch League team the Florida Mayhem came on stage yesterday for their match against the New York Excelsior, they took a moment to honor the victims of the Parkland, Florida school shooting. They gathered together in a moment of silence, and they all wore Douglas High School badges on their jerseys.

Although none of the Mayhem team members are from Florida, they said in a statement they were "touched by the impact of the act and the strength of those affected, and as proud representatives of Florida we wish to demonstrate our support and promote continued positive outreach by the larger Overwatch population."

The team also set up a GoFundMe page to provide financial support to the Parkland shooting victims. So far, it's raised over $2 million.
