'Half-Life' Fans Are Taking Their Frustration Out on 'DOTA 2'
Last week, former Valve scribe Mark Laidlaw revealed a plot summary for the long-anticipated, but never-released, Half-Life 2: Episode 3. Sure, it's little more than a fanfic, but since Valve shows scant interest in game development these days (it's busy dominating PC game sales via Steam), that synopsis is likely the only closure fans will get from the beloved franchise. Now, they're taking their anger out on another Valve game, DOTA 2. PCGamesN reports people are bombing the popular MOBA's user reviews on Steam. Some examples include, "Half-Life 3 died for this," "0/10 does not contain the number 3," and (my favorite), "This is the first in a series of episodic reviews that I will be leaving for DOTA 2. I will be releasing a new piece of my review every 6-8 months." So much salt.
