'Rainbow Six Siege' Breaks Concurrent Player Record Two Years After Launch
Many online games wane over time, but Rainbow Six Siege seems to be getting better with age. The game just broke its own Steam concurrent player record, according to Gamasutra. The game hosted over 176,000 players simultaneously. Considering it had a peak concurrent player count of 20,000 when it launched in 2015, that number is an impressive turnaround. Publisher Ubisoft has been steadily working to improve Siege over the last two years. The work has apparently paid off. It announced a few months ago the game has surpassed 25 million players worldwide.
