EA Not Rushing to Make More Nintendo Switch Games

Now that Fifa 18 is out on Nintendo Switch, publisher Electronic Arts isn't in a rush to bring more titles to the hybrid console, according to the Wall Street Journal. EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen tells WSJ (via reporter Takashi Mochizuki on Twitter) EA is waiting until the Switch has been on the market a full year before deciding whether to release more games. He adds it's too soon for EA to judge the success of Fifa 18 on Switch and wants "to fully understand what the demand is" before moving forward. It's a pretty conservative stance to take compared to other publishers who are flocking to Nintendo's new console. During a recent investor's briefing, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima claimed more than 300 software publishers, indies included, have begun work on Switch titles. (Thanks, IGN!)
