'PUBG' Rolls Back Latest Anti-Cheat Update After Performance Problems
PUBG Corp is rolling back PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' latest PC update so it can "resolve some compatibility issues," it said on Twitter this weekend (via PC Gamer). The patch implemented a number of anti-cheating measures, but it also apparently caused performance issues.
PC players, despite its effectiveness in blocking cheats, we have decided to roll back our latest live server update.— PUBG Help (@PUBG_help) March 11, 2018
We will continue to resolve some compatibility issues caused by it. There will be a small patch to download. We apologize for the inconvenience.
PUBG will undergo a 3-hour maintenance period tonight starting at 7 p.m. PDT so the current test build can go live.
