'Total War: Rome II' Gets an Expansion Four Years After Launch

Better late than never, right? Strategy game Total War: Rome II is getting an expansion four years after its release called Empire Divided. It takes place in the year 270 AD and includes a new campaign filled with cults, banditry, and plagues. There are ten different playable factions across five cultures, new heroic factions with elaborate victory conditions, custom event chains, and more. Empire Divided comes out Thursday, November 30th on Steam.

In addition, Total War: Rome II owners are getting a free update called Power & Politics that will launch alongside Empire Divided. It completely overhauls the game's politics system and adds a variety of new political actions to a campaign. The update will apply to the base game and all DLC except for "Caesar in Gaul," which has its own political system. (Thanks, Eurogamer!)
